• So what if Hyuuga Neji was a bit… unsocial? So what if he kept to himself and never opened up? So what if this life she was living wasn’t what she really wanted. She was Tenten after all; whatever deity was in charge had decided from the very start that she would NEVER get her fairy tale. She might as well make use of what she did have.

Shikamaru’s parents dislike Temari

• She loud, she’s vulgar, she’s crass. Blah, blah, BLAH. Who cares? Like their opinion mattered much to him to begin with. They didn’t think she was good for him? Pfft. They’d probably flip if he told them the reason for his extra activity — for his motivation. They wouldn’t believe though. For all their talk, what they really wanted was for him to “settle down with a nice modest young girl”. Temari did NOT fit that picture. Too bad. She was here to stay.

Hinata can be so much better

• “Who’s to say I can’t get stronger?” She wanted to demand of the council members every day. Once she even said it out loud. “You can.” Neji had replied honestly. She wasn’t some meek girl. And she wasn’t going to stay that way. I can be stronger and I can be better. Just watch, I’ll make you EAT your words. I’ll be stronger. And Neji? He wanted to help.

Voice in my head

• Shikamaru is clearly insane when he starts hearing voices in his head. Especially perverted little voices talking about her. HER! Of all creatures, the she-devil of Suna. Yes, he was damnably insane
• Temari always heard that hearing voices was normal, talking back to the voices was what was nuts. And arguing with them about whether or not Nara Shikamaru had nice muscles was definitely not sane. After all how could she hold a decent argument, insane or otherwise, when she hadn’t even seen said abs?
